JAPANESE TAIKO:
Soten Taiko
Kumi-daiko, or ensemble taiko, is a form of taiko that started in the 1950s and gained popularity after being featured at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. There are now taiko groups all over the world playing both traditional and original compositions. Soten Taiko is Iowa’s only performing taiko group, made up of volunteers and is open to anyone who is interested in learning.

Sonny Side Up
Sonny Side Up is a trio made up of Sanjin Agic, Todd Simpson, and Mike Baker who will play Bosnian pop rock music from the seventies and eighties.

AFROBEATS:
DJ Loose and RAW
Kicking off with traditional African drumming and featuring charismatic figures, the show seamlessly weaves together classic Afrobeats hits, captivating dance routines by R.A.W (Real Afro Warriors). This immersive experience celebrates the cultural fusion of Afrobeats, inviting audiences to engage, connect, and join the global Afrobeats movement.

Seneca
Seneca is a four person hard rock/metal band performing mainly original material. It is made up of Sam Ross, Jacob Ackelson, Reed Robbins, and Ryne Lindsey.
Seneca was the winner of the 2024 Together Through Sound Battle of the Bands, held at xBk.

LATINO:
Son Peruchos
Son Peruchos, based in Des Moines, Iowa, is a fusion of Andean and South American folk music utilizing traditional instruments such as the zampona, quena and charango. This musical group also integrates their traditional Andean sound with more modern Latin and Caribbean rhythms such as cumbia, bachata and rock en español.

JAZZ:
Blake Shaw Big(-ish) Band
The Blake Shaw BIG(ish) Band is an action packed, fun ensuing, dream band lead by bassist/vocalist/educator Blake Shaw of Iowa City. Shaw writes and arranges all the music using the Duke Ellington model of exploiting all his friends’ talents and strengths on their instruments. The show contains many burning solos, grooves for days, and plenty of eye candy. The rest of the band is made up of some of the best improvising musicians Iowa has to offer ranging from music professors, retired band directors, public school educators, and the most popular local musicians.

Entre & Friends
Iowa Native Daniel Luckett, aka Entre Luche, is a multifaceted singer/songwriter, entrepreneur, and 2024 Grammy Committee Member. Entre Is known for his smooth tone and his catchy hooks. He is also the great-grandson of the late grammy award winning blues legend Willie Dixon. You can find him on the TV show, “Play by Play,” on Roku, the Bronze Telly award winning show, “Love At First Bite,” or the reality series, “Local Love,” on Very Local TV.
